School OfSTED Action Plan

KEY ISSUE 1: Ensure that teachers use information on pupils� progress to provide sufficient challenge for higher attaining pupils in all lessons and greater opportunities for all pupils to take the initiative in their learning. 

 

KEY ISSUE 2:Raise attainment and increase the progress made by pupils in years 3 to 6 in geography and history. 

 

KEY ISSUE 3:Improve the behaviour of pupils in lessons by raising the expectations of teachers and ensuring that an effective behaviour policy is applied consistently by all members of staff. 

 

KEY ISSUE 4: Ensure that the breadth and balance of the curriculum is improved so that sufficient time is allowed for all subjects to be taught thoroughly. 

 

KEY ISSUE 5: Improve the effectiveness of monitoring so that subject co-ordinators have a clear understanding of attainment, progress, teaching and learning throughout the school.
